The Summer Training Conference is held each June in northern Michigan. On the first day of the conference the MACP annual business meeting is held. During the meeting the slate of officers is voted on and an update on the association activities is presented. The first day also has exhibitors on hand displaying vehicles and products for law enforcement.
During the Installation and Awards Banquet and Program, the Board of Directors are sworn in; the MLEEF Youth Scholarship is presented and the Awards and Citation program concludes the evening. - Winter Training Conference

Held every February at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, Grand Rapids, MI-Winter Training Conference is our largest conference of the year with two and a half days of training for law enforcement executives. In addition there are two days of exhibits featuring the newest products to assist agencies and personnel. The conference also features an Awards banquet during which awards for Traffic Safety and Environmental Crimes are presented. The mid-winter awards banquet is also the place Legislator or Public Servant of the Year awards are presented.
Who is invited?
All MACP members and related law enforcement officials are invited. Also meeting at the Conference will be the Michigan Sheriff’s Association, federal agencies and various regional chiefs associations, as well as MACP committees.

MACP has two conferences a year where vendors can exhibit their latest products. The largest exhibitor show is the Winter Training Conference each year in February. The second exhibitor show is the Summer Training Conference held each June in Northern Michigan. Information on the exhibits are mailed out the beginning of October and mid-April each year. The Winter exhibits sell out every year, well before the deadline.

This program is geared to new Chiefs/Directors, including Deputy Chiefs, Assistant Chiefs and other newly appointed Second in Command.
The five-day session is presented with the assistance of Dr. Murlene McKinnon, CEO of MACNLOW Associates. All participants receive a notebook with all the instructional material presented and receive a certificate of completion at the end of the five days.
The next class is scheduled for March 19-23, 2012 at the Okemos Conference Center, Okemos, MI.
