Police Officer, Flat Rock Police Department

The Flat Rock Police Department is creating a hiring eligibility list for police officer.  Flat Rock is located south of Detroit and has a population of just under 10,000 people. 

You will work under the direction of the Chief of Police to provide protection of life and property, traffic control, parking enforcement, criminal investigations, preserve peace, and apprehend and prosecute criminals.

Required: Must be certified by, or certifiable by, the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) by date of hire (You must have completed the police academy); pass a written exam (Offered by Empco), oral interview, background investigation, medical exam, and psychological evaluation; possess a high school diploma or GED, be of good moral character, satisfactory driving record, and a valid Michigan operator's license; ability to work with a multicultural diverse group.

The Flat Rock Police Department has a competitive wage and benefit package.
