The Tawas Police Authority has an immediate opening for the position of police officer. Experience may be considered in determining compensation.
$40,000/year entry base wage with annual steps and 3yr top out ($42,333/1yr, $44,666/2yr, $47,000/3yr). Competitive Health Care (no employee premium), Employer HSA Contributions, Employer Defined Benefit Contributions, Vacation/Sick/Comp/Personal Leave.
Associates degree in Criminal Justice or related field; experience may be considered in lieu.
Must be a U.S. citizen, 21 years or older at time of employment.
MCOLES licensed or eligible for licensing as a police officer at time of hire.
Must have a valid Michigan driver license and good driving record.
No felony convictions and/or disqualifying criminal history.
Ability to successfully pass a background investigation, psychological evaluation, interview process and physical/drug/alcohol screen.

The results at each step in the application process will determine eligibility for continuation to subsequent steps.
